    Henry & Isom were twins. Both born in Letcher Co. moved t o Line Forkwhere Henry met Patsy Campbell, the daughter of William and Eliza beth (Cornett) Campbell. Henry and Patsy moved to the Right Hand Fork whe n they firstmarried. They first settled at the mouth of Young's branch,which wa s then called Little Wooton Fork. Around 1860 they moved down the road a shor t distance,where they raised their family at what is called the Henry Combs place . Their house still stands at this time (the writting of this book) in 1993 I d on't know if it does now though. Writer states 1 room at that time was older the n the \Civil War. During the Civil War soldiers came through and took all the ir food,poured out their corn and fed it to their horses.     Isom & Henry were twins and its been said they were born 1 2 hrs apart.Both born in Letcher Co. Isom and wife Judy settled on the Lef t Hand Fork of Mason's Creek. Isom lived for 4 yrs longer then his brothe r Henry. When Isom died his wife Judy,was sure he wanted to be buried clo se to home,in their family cemetery,Henry's and Isoms family said it was alway s expressed by the twins to be buried together. Judy gave in and Isom was bur ied by his brother Henry in the Felix York Cemetery,on the Right Hand Fork. J udy never forgave her inlaws,she was buried in their own grave yard,on the Le ft Hand Fork.     The Death Certificate of Alfred B Back gives Wellington (Menifee Co) Kentucky as the birth place of parents, Benjamin Back and Sarah Wells. This may be more acurate than the information I have of Breathitt County based upon census records. Verify that Menifee County existed in 1843 and whether it was formed from a portion of Breathitt County which is the birth place I have had on record for a long time.

    Christian went by the name of Chrissy. Chrissy was a tall robust person, quite the contrary from her mother who was a person of small stature. Christian Back's mother had a full head of red hair and she was a full-blooded American Indian. That information was handed down from my Grandfather, Howard Francis Boyle, and the part about the American Indian heritage is probably incorrect. Nearly all of the information that came from my grandfather has proven correct at least in part. For example, closer relatives, have corrected the nickname by which Christian was known to "Christy" rather than "Chrissy". To date, I have found no evidence to support any American Indian heritage in any of my direct ancestor lines.
    New research has uncovered a name line reaching back to the great grandparents of Christian. If a document can be found that proves Benjamin Back and Sarah are the parents of Christian then, we will pick up these three generations and their family members. In the first quarter of the year 2002, I did locate the record that I was looking for, a death certificate of Chistian Back, that gives the full names of both of Christian's parents. The record confirmed the names of Christian's parents, which I first obtained from the family bible of Howard Francis Boyle and Ruby Jean Barkeloo-Boyle. The record also gave me the maiden name of Sarah which I now know was "Wells".

    Birth:
    Some records may state that her place of birth was Menifee County but Menifee was not formed until 1869.

    Buried:
    While there exists a shared headstone for John Wesley Smith and Christian Ann Back at the Back Cemetery in Menifee County, Kentucky, the death certificate of Christian Ann Back records that she was buried at Keene Cemetery in Jessamine County, Kentucky.
