    Excerpt from the Bach/Back Book
    John Back married Catherine Robinson, ca. 1797/98. She was born 7 April
    1780 in Tennessee. Her birth is recorded in the Catechism. She is described as
    being red-haired with blue eyes, and of Scotch-Irish descent. Her parents remain
    unknown, but she was one of the heirs of the extensive estate of her
    brother, Thomas Robertson (as described in the court record, Order Book 3,
    starting June 1854). He lived in Gum Springs, White County, Tennessee.
    Catherine's sister, Rebecca Robertson-Maggard, was the mother of Susannah
    Maggard, the wife of Henry Back, Jr. (the youngest brother of Catherine's
    husband John).
