This map drawn by Joshua Fry and Peter Jefferson in 1751 was amended prior to or after printing to include more recent places such as, "Fort Necessity taken 1754." A distance chart was added by "J. Dalrymple, London Jany. ye. 1st. 1755." Peter Jefferson was the father of Thomas Jefferson, future President of the United States of America. Inscription: To the Right Honourable, George Dunk Earl of Halifax First Lord Commissioner and to the Rest of the Right Honourable and Hounourable Commissioners for Trade and Plantations.
