    The record of the death of William Barnes on 18 January 1854. The digital copy is difficult to read but William's name can be seen on the line numbered 42 and his parents, John and Milly are named as well.

    On line 48 is Mary A Barnes who died 11 May 1854 and whose parents are listed as William and Mary Keles. Presumably, Mary who was about 30 years old, was married into the Barnes family.

      11 March 1841 in Milly was in court giving deposition and stated that she and John Barnes were married 27 November 1784.

      Sarah Baird swore in court that she was present at the wedding of John Barnes and Milly in Culpepper County, Virginia and that John and Milly's eldest son, James Barnes was born about one year after the marriage.
