    • I believe the attached record to be the correct church marriage record but it is difficult to accept until it has been studied closely. When Joseph came to the United States, his name was Giuseppe but he adopted the Anglicized form, Joseph. The person who filled out this form appears to have "Latinized" the name, Joseph, into what appears to be Josephum and Theresa's name appears to have gone through a similar transformation. One thing that is clear, is that the person who completed the form does not cross his lowercase letter "t". The best example of that fact is the church name, Addolorata, at the top of the register page. See my markup document for a more complete analysis.
The church Addalorata is Santa (or Sancta) Maria Addalorata in Chicago, Illinois.

The marriage is the second entry (Family 8) on page 10 of the register.

The marriage date of 21 January 1904 came to me directly from my grandmother during her lifetime; the date differs from this record which recorded 24 January 1904. (DJS)
