    This document should suffice as "proof" of lineage between the named descendants of Henry Harrison Combs for those individuals seeking membership to the Sons or Daughters of the American Revolution. In this interview by Reverend Dickey, William M. Combs names several generations of his family and even names many of the female spouses with their maiden names.

      "When Henry (Harrison), John's son, and one of the (3) 'eight brothers,' got married in Montgomery County [VA], in 1788, Mason Combs, Jr., his uncle, was his bondsman, and one of the witnesses."
      Mr. Combs, in his manuscript referenced here, stated that Mason Combs, also cited here from the book titled, "A brief of Wills and Marriages of Montgomery and Fincastle Counties, VA
      1733-1821", (Worrell, Anne Lowry, Chistiansburg, c1932), was Mason Combs Jr., the uncle of Henry Harrison Combs.
