One Lam Hanson wrote a letter, which doesn't bear the recipient's name, stating that, "The pension certificates ____?____ Israel Meadows & Thomas Harris were received by Bullock and Barnes respectively. The enclosed is returned to you as ammended and would thank you to forward [Jacob] Dooley's certificate to me. Yours Respectfully Lam Hanson" I am uncertain as to what this letter meant except to think that perhaps the certificates were misdirected, were being forwarded in the postal system of the day or that perhaps Lam Hanson was involved in processing the pensions of Revolutionary War veterans. Source, the pension file of Jacob Dooley pension file number W1837. | ||
