Built for National Steamship Company, British flag, in 1890 and named America. London-New York service.

Sold to Atlantic Transport Line, British flag, in 1907 and renamed Memphis.

Scrapped in 1908.

A pre-WWI photo. This vessel was siezed during WWI and put into service by the United States. After WWI the ship resumed passenger service for the United States Lines. At some point in time, the name changed from Amerika to America.
