| Anna Schimka Naturalization Index Card Index card to Anna Frana-Schimka's naturalization records. It was a little strange to find this index card since Anna was named on her husband's Declaration of Intention to become a naturalized citizen as well as all of their children. Perhaps there were fees involved that they could not afford to pay all at once or maybe Anna wasn't able to be present when James swore his oath and had to repeat the application process. I haven't obtained copies of the original documents from the Cook County Archives yet but I do plan to request a search at a future date.
